Technically summer doesn’t end until September 21st, but in light of the fact that I’ve seen kids and parents shopping for school supplies at Target and there was a chill in the air as I sat outside and sipped a root beer float tonight, it felt time to take it down.
This was the easiest wreath I’ve made so far. All it involves is stabbing cocktail umbrellas into a straw wreath form. I didn’t even unwrap the plastic on mine. (If you need more guidance, check out Jaderbomb’s post here.)
If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t have used dollar store umbrellas, as they fell apart at the slightest provocation. I probably would have used more umbrellas, too. I intended to add more, but never got around to it. I was too busy doing things like hunting down food trucks and swimming at the pool. It was a nice summer.
